A little history about me

It has been 15 years since I saw the light of this wonderful world. I am Lance Cody Abellera, born 23rd of February 2010. I am currently residing in the lively province of Ilocos Sur, where I have been studying for the past 12 years. My parents are Erlinda Rentiquiano, presently living with us—me and my family—and Dennis Abellera, currently outside the province. I have many hobbies to keep me occupied, and I have achieved many things in the past that I hope to continue this year.

When I was little, I had countless dreams. Although most seemed unachievable, I stayed motivated. Over time, I forgot what those dreams were, as my memory isn’t very long. Still, I remember my accomplishments in elementary school. I always aimed for honors, and before I knew it, I was at the top of my class. Each award felt like I had overcome my past, which gave me some motivation and determination. I also participated in extracurricular activities like math competitions, editorial writing, and the student government. I remember placing 2nd in math, but I was pretty happy just to have competed. Editorial writing wasn’t my strong suit—I lost badly in those contests—but I’m glad I tried because it helped me improve my writing skills to craft stories better. I don’t have many memories of being in the student government, as that time is a bit blurry. Though I wasn’t the best in these activities, they were fun and helped me develop skills I still need today.

Speaking of the present, I have acquired multiple hobbies such as drawing, playing guitar, reading, and electronics. However, with all these hobbies, I have to manage my time to fit them in with my schoolwork. Thankfully, though, I can just draw and play guitar during weekends or when there are no classes. They serve as my past time and a way to get me through hard times. Speaking of electronics, I am glad to have subjects this year where more tech is involved because I have been interested in the field for a long time now, and I finally get to learn formally about it. Moving on, I have observed that I lack expertise in writing long essays over the past years. The solution I have thought of was reading books. I believe that with the help of writers, I could improve and slowly but surely be able to write more and more. This journey has not been easy, but I have to get through to have a successful life. I hope that these hobbies will be put to good use in the future. The picture is my recent artwork, and I love it—not by quality but because of the fun I had making it.
